Purchasing Manager

Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a wholesaler in the Newry area on the appointment of a Purchasing Manager.

 

What’s in it for you:

  • Starting salary up to £45,000
  • Annual bonus

Responsibilities in your new role:

  • Sourcing new products, developing, and implementing purchasing strategies
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers negotiating best price and lead time whilst continually monitoring quality and performance
  • Daily use of Sage X3 system for stock replenishment and demand forecasting
  • Attend tradeshows and ensure that current stock range is evolving to meet customer demands
  • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets
  • Strong focus on process improvements around procurement systems and processes

 

What you will need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 3 years procurement experience at a senior level
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and all Microsoft Office packages
  • CIPS qualifications (Desirable but not essential)
