Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm based in the Armagh area on the appointment of a Workshop Supervisor.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will be managing a team of 3 ensuring all jobs are completed on time and to the standards required.
Due to the projected growth over the next few years, there will potentially be the opportunity of further progression, stepping in to a management role.
Responsibilities in your new role:
- Be the first point of contact for the workshop, managing the team with a proactive approach to encourage effective team collaboration
- Lead, motivate and support the team and become proficient in all aspects of the operation
- Manage and lead the team to achieve KPIs and goals
- Be accountable for Health & Safety requirements in your workshop, ensuring staff work in a safe manner and use personal protective equipment as per the company PPE policy
- Ensure all tools are operator in the correct manner, looked after and maintained
- Work closely with the Office Manager with allocation of duties, reviewing of tasks and timings, organising of parts to be available for fitting etc
- Frequently liaise with Procurement and Stores departments to ensure any additional parts required have been ordered to ensure the smooth running of production
- Take responsibility for all work carried out within the department, ensuring that all team members are completing work efficiently and to the standards expected
- Introduce & roll out quality control processes to ensure work is completed to the high standards expected
- Carry out daily and weekly equipment checks
- Ensure all job are fully completed with the required information: (start and finish time, breakdown of job, parts, signature, and date to be recorded before being passed to Production Managers office)
- Ensure photographs of completed jobs are taken and emailed to relevant department
What you will need to succeed:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising a team within a manufacturing environment
- Strong IT skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to deliver results
In return a starting salary of up to £39,000 is on offer.
