Senior Engineer – Transitioning to Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager Role
Location: Lucan, Dublin
Project: 80 New Apartments on a Brownfield Site
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer with a passion for career progression to join our growing team in Lucan, Dublin. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer who is ready to take the next step into an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager role. You will play a key part in overseeing a team of 3 junior engineers and will have significant responsibility for managing the construction of 80 new apartments on a brownfield site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the project, ensuring all deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders.
- Oversee the BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) process and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer in construction, with a strong understanding of BCAR.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a desire to move into a managerial role overseeing a team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly in apartment projects.
