We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with Build Experience to join the team and help deliver projects that meet the highest standards in quality and efficiency.
Role Overview:
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing and controlling costs on various building projects, from start to completion. Working closely with senior surveyors, project managers, and site teams, you’ll ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Oversee the financial aspects of building projects, ensuring cost-efficient solutions are implemented and adhered to.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, cost forecasts, and regular updates throughout all project phases.
- Procurement & Contract Management: Participate in procurement processes, assist in negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure that projects meet contractual and industry standards, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Stakeholder Communication: Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Financial Analysis & Support: Conduct financial analysis, assist with risk assessments, and support senior quantity surveyors in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with proven expertise in build projects within the Irish construction sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and building regulations.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to provide cost-effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively with site teams and project managers.
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
